- Muladhara chakra governs the sexual instinct for procreation, the connection to family, clan, tribe
- Svadhisthana chakra is where we express sexual urges of attraction (and repulsion), stabalise & regulates sexual activity and developing good relationships
Muladhara and svadhisthana work together - muladhara instinctively lights the fires and svadhisthana finds the expression and fans the flames (the pelvic floor is the foundation for pelvis and genitals). The pelvic bowl intertwines the two opposing male and female energies, where they unite and the energy of shakti begins to move upwards - Manipura governs people's ego needs concerning sex the need to feel wanted, loved and accepted
- Anahata influences the associated sexual emotions both positive and negative and as it is the heart chakra, it connects the physical sexual energies of the lower chakras with the merging of souls that occurs in the higher chakras
- Vishuddi deals with our ability to communicate our sexual needs and feelings with our partner
- Ajna creates the union of shiva and shakti and starts to go beyond the thought to the intuitive, knowing what your partner likes, being at one with both sexual energies
- Sahasrara - goes beyond the temporal to connect and merge with pure energy of the universe and your partner
We all have the capacity to love and be loved in return, so it is only through trial and error that you find out what you enjoy and what that special someone also likes.
Very interesting summary of a complex topic, It can be overwhelming when one first reads about the chakras. I look forward to seeing what you have to say about Patanjali.
